About the Laboratory

The Testing Laboratory at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw is accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation in compliance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard as an Accredited Testing Laboratory – Accreditation Certificate No. AB 1887. The Testing Laboratory is also a regular member of the Polish Research Laboratories Club – POLLAB, registered under the reference 1152.

The Testing Laboratory at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy was established on 1st December 2021 according to the decision of the Rector-Commandant of the Military University of Technology no. 57/RKR/2021 from 12 November 2021 on the change of organizational structure of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

The Laboratory conducts research in the field of civil engineering, geodesy and material’s characterization. It specializes in the performance of expert opinions, technical opinions, and material analysis as well as accuracy tests of geodetic instruments. The scope of the laboratory’s activities includes the analysis of mechanical resistance of materials along with its determination on atmospheric conditions such as frost resistance as well as its adsorption and density.

Research

The laboratory conducts research in the field of civil engineering, geodesy and characterization of materials. It specializes in performing expert opinions, technical opinions, energy audits of residential and public buildings – Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) and analysis of materials as well as tests of the accuracy of geodetic instruments.

The laboratory is equipped with specialized equipment.

Training

The laboratory offers training including theoretical and practical classes.
